9:50am - Liturgy of the Palms
The Blessing of Palms and the Procession begin in Hemming Park, about 4 blocks from the Cathedral. The congregations of First United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church, The Salvation Army, Mt. Zion AME Church, and St. John’s Cathedral process together up Church Street to their respective churches. At 10:30 a.m., the choir, assembled outside the Great West Door, sings the Introit, then proceeds into the Cathedral.
