Biographical Information (from the program notes):

Philippa and Richard met while students at the Royal Academy of Music in 1988 and have given many performances together since then.

Their concerts incorporate popular classics for soprano, accompanied by piano, organ or harpsichord.  Their large repertoire includes music by Handel, Bach, Monteverdi, Purcell, Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Schumann and Richard Strauss as well as music by 19th and 20th Century British composers.

They have appeared throughout the United Kingdom in Cathedrals, Churches, Oxbridge Chapels and in concert halls.  They have also toured to India, USA and Italy.  They have broadcast together on BBC Radios 3 and 4 and on BBC 1 Television's Songs of Praise and have also given many concerts with Richard as orchestral conductor.

Richard and Philippa were married in 1992 and they have a son, James, who was born in 2000.  They live in Blackburn,, Lancashire, where Richard is the Cathedral Organist.  Philippa maintains a busy schedule of concerts around Britain and abroad.  She also teaches at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
